      Guest speakers from the Alaska Marine Science Symposium explain their findings concerning the ramifications of an Ice-Free Alaska.

      Donna Hauser, International Arctic Research Center, University of Alaska Fairbanks, presents "Responses, Risks, and Resilience of Alaska's Arctic Marine Mammals in a Changing Climate".

      Timothy Jones, Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team, University of Washington, examines “Seabird Mortality Deaths in the Bering Sea”.

      Janet Duffy-Anderson, NOAA/Alaska Fisheries Science Center Recruitment Processes Program, and Ecosystems and Fisheries Oceanography Coordinated Investigations, discusses “Changes in the Bering Sea Ecosystem: What an Ice-Free Winter May Mean”.

      Everyone is encouraged to attend this event. No scientific background is required. All UAA Campus Bookstore events are free and open to the public. There is free parking for these events in the South Lot, West Campus Central Lot, and Sports Complex NW Lot.
