      Brazilian violinist Dr. Marcio Candido has extensively performed in the three Americas as soloist, concertmaster, and in chamber music collaborator. As soloist he has appeared with the Orquestra Filarmonica do Rio de Janeiro, Orquestra Sinfonica da Bahia, Orquestra de Camara da UNIRIO, and the New England Repertory Orchestra. He has appeared as concertmaster of the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Boston Civic Symphony, Longy Chamber Orchestra, Jamaica National Orchestra, and Orquestra de Camara da UNIRIO. Mr. Candido is a winner of several prizes, including the 2016 Boston University J.S. Bach competition and the IX Magda Taglia Ferro Chamber Music Competition (Sao Paulo, Brazil). Mr. Candido received his Doctoral degree at Boston University where he was a faculty member.

      Dr. Tamara McCoy is on faculty at APU. She is Music Director at ALC, where she maintains the ALC Concert Series. Tamara was faculty at the University of Kentucky, University of Pikeville, the 2nd and 3rd International Piano Festivals of the City of Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil, And the Classical Minds International Guitar Festival. She has performed in the U.S., Russia, the Czech Republic, the UK and Brazil. Tamara won an Individual Artist Award from the Rasmuson Foundation to tour Alaska and England, where she debuted London. She was featured on the NPR/HPM podcast Classical Classroom. Tamara is part of the Hiland Mountain Lullaby Project, a project in partnership with the Carnegie Hall Weill Music Institute.She studies voice with Nancy Caudill in AK and David L Jones in NY. In 2018, She won the AK and NW Regional NATS Avocational Voice Auditions.
