      Snow Flyers: Fat Bike Pioneers

      12/6/2019

      6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6Fourth floor

Watch a short film and hear fat bike pioneers wax poetic about what drove them to merge their love of biking with the winter weather. Experts include: Greg Matyas of Speedway Cycles and Fatback Bikes, Billy Koitzsch of Artic Cycles — the first person to bike the Iditarod and Iron Dog trails on a fat bike — and John Evingson, independent bike builder — who showed his custom fat bikes to Surly in the early 2000s leading them to the first production of the fat bike, the Pugsley. Ask questions of these expert “snow flyers,” and start planning your own winter adventures.
